Hi, I’m Jayah — a speech-language pathologist, hobby enthusiast, community builder, and the girl behind That’s So Jayah.

I created That’s So Jayah as a little corner of the internet for the things I love most: making things, meeting people, exploring new places, and finding whimsy in everyday life.

What started with my love of paper, scrapbooking, and handwritten letters grew into Penpals & Paper, a creative community connecting people through penpals, happy mail, and stationery. From there came Whimsy Girls in the City — a growing community built around free, creative gatherings, city adventures, and simply having a reason to get together.

I’m forever a South Jersey native, but a Philly girl at heart.  You’ll find me sharing the places I love, from coffee shops and restaurants to things to do around the city and beyond. When I’m not creating or planning the next gathering, I’m probably reading, crafting, taking myself on a solo adventure, spending time with my dog, or collecting inspiration for whatever comes next.

Professionally, I’m a speech-language pathologist and the owner of Talking Up a Storm, where I work with children and families. Creativity has always been a big part of how I connect with people, and That’s So Jayah gives me another way to bring that creativity to life.

There’s no single category for everything I love — and that’s kind of the point.
